Handover! Could this be the end of Bland Designs
I’m sorry I made you wait for this latest update, dear Blandies. We’ve been a bit busy, eh? As the title indicates, we got handover on the expected date, despite the bank trying their best to fuck it up all that day. We finally got release at 4:45pm - still, if it wasn’t for the last minute, I’d get nothing done at all. This is the bit in Grand Designs Where Kevin McCloud visits them and discovers that they aren’t quite finished cos they ran out of money. Which is pretty much exactly what happened here. The sparky ran so far over budget that we had to reallocate the funds for the completion of the heatpumps to pay him. This is less that ideal, but fortunately the overspec insulation and double glazing has stopped us from freezing. Long time readers will recall we hired the worst movers in the world to move us into the little rental which turned into a massive two day clusterfuck. We avoided those idiots this time and the move went much smoother.
